Fostex FE126En Fullrange Speaker Driver Transducer
This is the new Fostex FE126En fullrange driver which replaces the popular FE126E. The Fostex FE126En is a 120 mm (4.7") driver on a stamped steel frame. Like the similar FE driver the cone is made of banana plant fiber and is light weight and attached via treated cloth surround. The ferrite magnet is huge in relation to the driver, 100 mm diameter and a weight of 440 grams. The FE126En has a low Qts which makes this driver useful in horn type enclosures.
Fostex FE126En Fullrange Speaker Driver
Like many of the other inexpensive Fostex fullrange drivers, the frame of the FE126En is stamped steel. The light stamped frame is prone to "ring" so it should be improved by using duct seal to "damp" the frame.
