That sounds safe and trouble free. ![]() Between Jim's bookshelf build and the specification of the Bob Brines bookshelf enclosure (TB-20) you pretty much have a good bookshelf design you can use. If you are considering a floor standing unit, I would suggest Bob's proven T-line enclosure (TT-2000) for the drivers. Cheers |

I won't be able to do a project with the Tang Band full range drivers. It seems that every time I get a little extra cash, something happens. Last week I sold a high-end tonearm to a guy overseas. He gets it and says there is a scratch on it. Sent me a pic, and there it is, on the UNDERSIDE of the arm lift! He is returning it and I have to refund his $550. So, I have drivers but no cash to do anything with them. Oh, did I tell you my wife's car needed a new upper and lower hose, thermostat and serpentine belt...$600! Any suggestions? Do I trade or sell them? Is there shame in putting them in old cabinets? I really wanted to actually make something. Oh well, "They call me Deacon Blues...." |

>>>>Is there shame in putting them in old cabinets?<<<<< Of course not. An old enclosure is better than no enclosure. You can always build one later. |

MasonDad, what an expensive wife you've got ![]() ... try instead to be happy, that your teenage daughters are sitting around doing nothing, because if they starts getting active, they'll cost money to. ![]() Anyway, i think you just should pause your TB project ( not sell ) and get back, when the economy is better. ![]() Best wishes for you and your project. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hello, does anybody know a speaker building kit with the Tang Band W8-1772 or a even a commercial speaker for sale? I'm not skilled enough to build one from scratch. Thanks! |
