Recently purchased four of these single, 3.5", 8 ohm, 110-20Khz drivers and want to place them in their own individual cabinets. Due to size constraints of where they're going, I'm looking at an interior space of roughly 190 cubic inches, with the cabinet looking like a small loaf of bread - 4.5" x 4.5" x 9.25" long. Would prefer to place the drive on the 4.5"x4.5" end.... so my question is, for optimal bass response, should I make these as a sealed cabinet [FYI - I'm not running a subwoofer] or should I port the cabinet ? If I port, what diameter and what length ? Also, if I port, should I place it on the far end of the cabinet, facing the opposite direction the driver, or should I place it along it's length, somewhere towards the bottom ? Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.
