Hi, The speakers have "broken" in now and really sound great. I'm using an updated version of the mini-blocks on them. Five watts is quite sufficient. I did some testing on the amps and they are a great match to the speakers. The speaker drivers are noted for their very linear response (my RTA confirms it) and low distortion. The amps at comfortable listening levels ....about 0.5 to 1 watt rms show a distortion level in the 0.25% range. So I get really clean sound. BTW anyone using EL84 amps should try NOS 6P15PEV Russian tubes. Quite excellent and about 3 db less residual noise that all the other EL84s I tested. Just slightly more distortion than the EH ones I finally settled on. They were 0.3%. Others like the new Mullards were not so good at 1.3%.
