Hello lovely people!

I recently decided to try and measure T/S parameters for an undocumented loudspeaker as per this method:

However, when I use a calculator for a box it states it needs to be about 400 litres, which is impossibly large. Are my calculations off?

Speaker is 20W 4.5".

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Qts=1.54 so these speakers are meant to be use open baffle, open back speakers. A high Qts would be common for car speakers and in the case of vintage speakers with an open back enclosure or in a radio/phono console. The speaker magnet on a high Qts driver will be small relative to the driver.
