The glue i used was a few months old and i could tell it did not need much time to connect anymore.
As i have now 8 of that foams i thought it was worth a try to waste one. The original foams fit so good you can center it at once with the already thickened glue. And it worked! I don't believe anything is damaged because the sound is as it should. In the B&O speaker the outer ring is pressured down to the chassis so when i centered it right thats where it stays. The inner ring seems to holding. Next week or so i go get it apart again to see if there is visual damage to be sure but for now the speaker is joining the fun with his brother speaker on the other side very well
If there might be something wrong with the coil because of my hard approach i want to find out. Don't know why but i start to love the sound of that speakers more and more... If i had the money back in time i still would not have bought them because of the demanding design. But further in time i enjoy the sound. Have a nice Beocentre from 1972-74 waiting to be restored.
