Hi, Not sure where to put this one. I finally got tired of bumping into things that turntables were placed on and causing them to skip. So I built shelves for them. I use track brackets fastened into the studs in the wall. The wall itself is brick on the outside and really strong. An earthquake might cause a skip but nothing less. The shelf brackets were fastened to the bottom of the shelves to prevent movement. The shelves are 3/4 inch MDF with a brace on the front nose section for added strength. The lower TT is a Sota Moonbeam with a Rega arm and Benz Micro LOMC. The upper shelf is the TT I made from a Dual 701 (used only the motor, platter and PS) with an Origin Live arm and a Dynavector 10X5 HOMC. Both cartridges have been retipped by Soundsmith with ruby cantilevers and line contact diamonds. The TTs work great in the new location and while I thought the upper one would be hard to use, it is not. Being just below eye level makes stylus placement a snap.
Good Listening
Bruce
