Hi there ,

I'm new to "audio" projects , and I started making small guitar amp .
I found old 20w stereo amplifier , (after attaching it to a speaker) I connected a phone to it , and it sounds loud , but when i add guitar pedal and guitar , instead of phone , sound got quiet :/
Is there anyway to make guitar+pedal sound louder with this poweramp ?

Thanks a lot :D

Hi A lot depends on the amp. What kind, brand, model is it? Most likely it does not have enough gain and an additional gain stage or preamp will have to go between the guitar pick up and the amp.

Good listening
Bruce

what guitar preamp?
do you know the input impedance of you amp? and the output impedance of your pre-amp?
i could be wrong but it seems like your problem with weak sound could be the result of a bad mismatch also if different cables are involved are you certain that all cables are good and pinned out correctly?
