Hello Everyone.

I am relatively new to this forum. But I have been a wood worker for many years. When I saw the powder coated chasis and the Purple Heart ends. I said that the Purple Heart wood can be "finished" with MANY coats of 'shellac' (oil based product-hard to use). And a lot of 220 sanding. rubbing and polishing.

Question:

Does anyone know of an eaiser way to get the wood finish and speaker finish to match ?

I am trying to get the "piano" gloss finish on my chasis and speaker enclosure.

No DIY audio projects except a radio shack 2 way self built speaker enclosure with cross over hand soldered.
:)

Are you trying to match the color of the cone?

PS - what radio shack drivers did you use?

Cheers, Gio

Hello

Thanks for the "link".

Did you notice the date of those posts. 1998 and 1999.

Many of the oil based products are getting harder to find here at the

"Peoples Republic of Kalifornia" as our Terminator Governor would say it.

Don Ka She- Muchas Gracias-

Don't you know that we are in California and the spoken language is NOT English in this "Republic" it is Spanish !
