The Machine Men theme was well played out on his amp. You could see this amp appealing to a younger set and getting them interested in tube amps. For me a spray can and a few knobs is about the extent of my craftmanship (lel)!

We have verbally parried about audio and art and I know there are a number of us who feel the two can be very successfully combined. I am also respect those who just want their creations to sound good regardless of looks. And I respect that. There are those who just want to build gear with little concern for performance and looks. All good as far as I am concerned.

Bruce, of Oddwatt fame, is not only a very astute developer of tube gear but also an artist. I have not seen anything leave his workshop that has been anything less than a well developed and thought out piece of kit. But Bruce goes beyond just produce excellent sounding carefully designed audio equipment he produces audio art also. Though I have not heard any of Bruce’s gear I take it from the comments of many others that its performance is first class.

One of Bruce’s latest “dabbles” is a tube phono stage. This I understand is still under development. But just take a look at it. If this is not one of the best looking piece of equipment I have seen for a while I’m not sure what is. I hope Bruce doesn’t mind me posting the image on this thread but I feel equipment as good looking as this MUST be displayed on this forum.

Bruce – don’t stop amazing us!

That is exactly what I would want to see on my system. It looks just beautiful, I sure wish I could hear the sound of something like that for one day, I am sure everyone else would like that too.

Audio art is alive and well. Take a look at the last 4 entries to the photo gallery page. Nice stuff.

Here's an extremely nice build. This (Swedish) fella has designed and built a complete mini-stereo. If you cannot read the text, look at the pictures.
Ze Zpeekerz
Ze ZD-pleyuer
Ze Ampel fire

I read somewhere that the guy used "normal tools" we all have in our toolboxes, but I think he's a pro.

What a great idea to use a JCV CD player for the transport section. :D Probably not the highest performing CD player but clever thinking.

Gainclone looks excellent, love the speakers. A real craftsman.
