Hi everone,
I am a classical guitarist with moderate knowledge of electronic and soldering.
Because of the good results I got from this setup I have been thinking of the following project:
To merge an M-Audio BX8 Studio monitor (
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MAudioBX8D2.html) with a simple Behringer Eurorack 1002 (
http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UB1002.aspx)
I am thiniking of somewhat take them apart and weld together the line in of the bx8 with the line out of the mixer and do the same with the power supplies so I can use it as a standalone amp for my live gigs. I know it sounds unusual but no acoustic amp has beat both the sound quality and the connectivity options of this setup.
Because I am only using one monitor I usually hook the left channel to the monitor and pan the mix all the way to the lef and it works wonderfully.
I am not quite sure if this is the right subforum for this project but I wonder if this kind of things are done and if you have any tips and/or resources for it. Do's and Don'ts and that kind of thing.
Thanks!
