Hello, i dont know if i am in the right section, but i give it a try....

I would like to make my own 9v extension cables ( for guitar pedal board ) more or les as the picture as attachment. One main cable going to transfo 9v then 9 or 10 male connectors that goes on pedals.

Why i want to make them myself ? in this way i could make the extensions different measures and...its fun!

Its a big hassle to find the pieces i need to assemble this so maybe someone out there could tell me where i could find these items ?

thank you in advance, from Switzerland

Christian

How about these?

https://www.amazon.com/43x2pcs-Connectors-Security-Lighting-MILAPEAK/dp/B072BXB2Y8

Or you can buy just what you need for your particular setup like these:

https://www.mouser.com/Connectors/Power-Connectors/DC-Power-Connectors/_/N-axitt?P=1z0wxf2Z1z0wxfc

Hope this helps.

Just make sure you are buying the same size as you need. Your pic shows 2.1mm. If you have 2.1mm then fine
but if you have another one of the many sizes those barrel plugs come in (there are about 5 standard sizes) it
will be a waist as plug and jack need to be the same size. 2.1mm and 2.3mm are both very common.

NB very important,

Watch the polarity of the pedals and the leads..

Some pedals have positive centre some have negative and if you connect the supply the wrong way round on a pedal there is a high probability of damaging it. I know I have made a pedal board before for guitar.

I connected about 9 BOSS pedals and a Wah. Make sure that the connection is correct and then make sure each time you connect the pedals up because you may have some of your connections with different polarity and you can accidentally connect the wrong plug to the wrong pedal.

I used Velcro on the bottom of the pedals to the board and had it raised at the back with two rows of pedals then I could pull them out and change them if I wanted. For different gigs.

Regards
M. Gregg
