On the topic of DVDs, I have The Cars - Unlocked and it is excellent. A lot of rare behind the scenes footage. You don't have to be a huge fan to enjoy this. A lot of older (late 70s early 80s) concert footage so sound quality is not great. But I have really enjoyed this DVD.

Cheers

I just love the quality of the recording of the "Casino Royale" 1967 movie soundtrack (Burt Bacharach).
Can't get enough of Medeski, Martin & Wood :headphones:
All the Chesky records test disks are great to learn about audiophile recordings.

The Brothers in Arms cd and Peter Gagiel's original cd's sound amazing, straight from the D/A of the cd player I am modding, the recording don't sound all over contrasted and tini like allot of recordings doday. And taking the output straight from the D/A made a huge difference in its self.

Try it for your self and your cd player will sing! :sing:

As long as you don't over load the converter that is :o

I have one of the Chesky demo discs. Its really incredible to listen to. Very clear. One track makes you feel like you are a few stories above a choir in a concert hall.

All these are great reference recordings and they help learn about recording techniques and the impact on the audiophile experience.
I also have some demo disks from Naim, Telarc and Marantz. These are also great to educate your guests :sing:
There are also SACD and Hybrid SACD, XRCD, HDCD and DVDA demo and sampler disks ;)
