Hello All ! :)

I'm a newcomer from France (you know, that small country in Western Europe, where there's an old metallic tower and good food :wine: ... ;) )

I browsed extensively your diyaudioprojects website, and saw numerous very interesting subjects and releases... 8-)
Moreover with detailed and useful informations  - I mean : no Audiophile Blah-Blah or Dogmatic Expert-Guru Position  but technical and helpful tips and conversations  .

So OK : let's register, then... ;)

About me : I am solely an amateur of DIY Audio and Musical Instruments - I mean : I don't make (and never made) a living with that.

About my releases : well... I will be happy to share them, you guess it ! If you feel like it, you can take a look at my small website to get an overview... ;)

https://guilhemamplification.jimdofree.com/

And for sure, I'll have numerous questions about all the projects posted and listed on the forum, you guess too ! :D

Oh, And I apologize in advance for my syntaxis and understanding mistakes : I'm not English native language... :)

Cheers :beerchug:

Yes, the forum can get a bit quiet at times but hang in there as there’s a few interesting active topics, documented project builds and very knowledgeable DIYers ready to help out from my experience on a 300b set project. Projects on your website look quite advanced and well laid out.

Hi, Also welcome. You will find the site friendly with lots of helpful members. New projects and ideas are always welcome. Just jump in on stuff that interests you. Your English is a lot better than my French in spite of four years they tried to teach it to me. I might be able to find a bathroom or get food, but not much more. 8-)

Good listening
Bruce

Thank you Guys ! ;)

Yes, I am already interested by the TL speaker built with a FE206E described by a member (sorry I did not memorized the name), and I am searching ideas to re-use a pair of TRIANGLE T17FL2 wideband spakers... Plus advices on softwares for audio : lousdpeaker and enclosure measurement and simulations, spectrum analyzer with THD and IM facilities...

So Wait and See ! :)

Cheers, :beerchug:

I don’t have the proper microphone to successfully test REW (room equalisation wizard) but I played a bit with it using the laptop mic. It looks good but I only did a cursory look. In the technical section @gio I think put some information about DATS a few years ago now so may have been updated.

Hornresp appears to be popular software for horns and TL. There are a few programs including Paul schmeet of lenardaudio’s TL program. I tried both for mine but I liked the latter best although has been abandoned by schmeet. Hornresp is updated regularly. There are threads on the sister diyAudio forum. I’ll add links if you have trouble but should be easy to search.
