Can a CT PP output transformer be used in SE configuration?
For instance if I have a transformer that is CT and 8K Plate to plate as per (1) in attached pic?
Can I use it in single ended configuration without connecting the other tube? That is still using the CT for B+ and where a single plate connects as per (2) in attached pic?
If I can, what impedance does the single tube see?
Or do I need to connect B+ to one end of the transformer and the plate to the other, ignoring the CT, as per (3) in attached pic?
If done this way, again what impedance does the tube see?

It's not a matter of now it's connected. PP output transformers are not gapped to handle the DC bias current of an SE configuration. You'll saturate the core and get truly horrible performance.

In PP operation, the bias current of each output tube flows through half the secondary in opposite directions. This means that resultant magnetic flux in the core is small (theoretically zero). I.e. the fluxes cancel in the core. In a SE transformer, all the bias current from the single tube flows in the same direction yielding a significant magnetic flux. SE transformers are gapped specifically to handle this without saturation.
